Step into the shadows of the Black Forest this winter solstice with a curated collection inspired by the raw, untamed magick of old-world folklore. There are many problematic themes within all of these tales… yet I always find there is cosmic justice… while brutal, the polarization of good and evil in these tales helped my developing mind deal with complex moral concepts. These stories also helped spark my interest in magick ~ because at their core, they are blueprints for alchemy and the certainty of transformation of objects or even a persons lot in life. At the darkest time of the year, within all these dark tales, there is still light when the flame is lit. If that isn’t a metaphor for world we find ourselves in these days, I don’t know what is.

  • The Tale: A sharp-witted young woman secretly explores the dark forest hideout of her suspicious fiancé, only to discover his gruesome secret identity as a cannibalistic murderer. Armed with the truth and a severed finger as evidence, she publicly exposes his crimes at their wedding feast, bringing him to swift justice.
